Pakistani batsman-cum-wicketkeeper Younis Khan is heading home following the death of his father.

Younis was informed of his father's passing after Pakistan's gripping three-wicket victory over Australia in the VB Series in Perth tonight.

He had been recalled to the Pakistan team this morning following the omission of regular wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal and took three catches before being dismissed for six.

A spokesman for Cricket Australia said that Younis was shattered and distraught at the news and was scheduled to fly out of Perth on the first available flight with the support of the team management.

Cricket-Online would like to express its deepest sympathies to Younis Khan, his family and all those affected by this loss.
